Emil Valchinov was born in Pazardjik, Bulgaria, in 1972. He received his M.Sc. Degree in Electronics in 1997 from the Technical University of Sofia, Bulgaria. In 1995-1997, he followed the European Postgraduate Programme in Biomedical Engineering organized by the Department of Medical Physics, University of Patras, Greece. He obtained his Ph.D. Degree in 2004 at the University of Patras, Greece.
